The short version
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies unless you accept them. If you choose “Essential only”, or ignore the banner entirely, the only things stored on your device are the handful of settings listed below — and those never leave your browser.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
What a cookie is here
We use the word “cookies” the way the law does: it covers cookies proper, and also localStorage and similar browser storage. Most of what this site stores is technically localStorage rather than a cookie, but the rules — and your choices — are the same either way.
Essential storage (always on)
These exist only to make the site work the way you left it. They are set by this site, hold no personal data, are never sent to a server, and cannot be switched off without breaking the feature they belong to.
gta6_consent — records whether you accepted or declined optional cookies, so you are not asked on every page. Without it, the banner could not remember your answer.
gta6_platform — remembers whether you were reading cheat codes for PlayStation, Xbox or PC.
gta6_install_dismissed — remembers that you closed the “install the app” card, so it does not reappear.
Analytics (only after you accept)
If you accept, we may load a privacy-respecting analytics script to count page views and see which cheats people look for. We use it to decide what to write next, not to build a profile of you.
At the time of writing, no analytics provider is active on this site. If that changes, this page and the banner are updated before anything is loaded.
Advertising (only after you accept)
This site is intended to be funded by advertising, most likely Google AdSense. Advertising cookies are set by Google and other ad vendors, not by us, and may be used to measure ad performance and to personalise the ads you see.
Google explains what it collects, and lets you opt out of personalised advertising independently of this site, at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and adssettings.google.com.
At the time of writing, no ad code is active on this site.
The email list
If you ask to be notified when GTA 6 cheat codes go live, we store the address you give us and a confirmation token, so we can check the request really came from you. That is not a cookie and does not depend on this banner — it is data you chose to hand over, and every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page. Declining removes the stored consent record and stops optional scripts loading on your next page view.
You can also clear cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings, which resets everything above, including your platform preference.
